This poem is about displaying false facades. Those who feel bullied and abused who act as though they are very friendly when deep inside there is a bomb waiting to go off. You are friendly until you are treated badly. Then watch out.
I act as though I am a friendly soul
with no hidden deadly face;
Internal scars though take their toll,
I would rather show my grace.
I am friendly to those who touch my heart,
strike me with an honest tone;
To those who proceed to take me apart,
I crush them to the bone.
I may act as though I am a friendly soul,
only when I am treated right;
To those who disconnect blood and bone,
I release dark from the inner light.
